Iona's Approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
Iona's approach to ESG is guided by our overarching purpose and aligned to the UN's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). As a low carbon investor, our primary focus is on delivering a positive environmental impact that aligns with the five climate-related UN SDGs listed below.

Iona has been a signatory to the UNPRI (United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment) since 2018 - and received an 'A' score in each reportable category in its 2020 UN PRI rating.

As a signatory to UNPRI, Iona has committed to the UNPRI's six principles, and is implementing them as part of the development and maintenance of an effective ESG Policy and ESG Management System.

Incorporating ESG factors into our decision-making in our investment process for all new investments

Progressively incorporating ESG considerations into the ongoing management of our existing portfolio investments and seeking continuous improvement

Ensuring that sufficient resources are invested to maintain a quality ESG Management System

Actively engaging within the market to promote the spread of ESG principles (primarily focusing on environmental factors)
