Keithick Biogas Limited

Deal Overview

In 2014 IEILP invested in Keithick Biogas Limited, an AD facility developed in Coupar Angus, Perthshire by Keithick Farms Limited.

The project was commissioned in winter 2014 and was the first Gas to Grid AD project operating in Scotland. Keithick Biogas works closely with Scotia Gas Networks, who in addition to being the local gas network operator, provided the gas upgrading plant to the Facility.

The plant utilises locally grown crops and material to provide over three million cubic metres of biomethane each year for introduction to the gas network, as well as a biofertiliser, which is spread on local farmlands.

Operator

The plant is managed by Biogas Power Ltd, one of Scotland’s leading providers of innovative solutions for on-farm and energy from waste AD facilities.
