Newbridge Energy Ltd

Deal Overview

IEILP NW competed an investment in Newbridge Energy Ltd, the owners of Blazers Fuels, in June 2016. Blazer Fuels manufactures and supplies 6mm ENPlus A1 wood pellets and is listed on the biomass suppliers list. The business has been manufacturing the 10kg blazers fuel logs since 1999 and has a reputation for quality and service. Wood pellets are manufactured from the residue created from the manufacturing of other timber products. Off-cut logs, edge trimmings and chipped timber form the basis of the manufacturing process. Pellets and briquettes are then bagged in either retail packs, tonne bags or bulk transferred via vehicles.

A key part of the transaction was not only to acquire Newbridge Energy but also to purchase a new biomass CHP and wood drying equipment. The new biomass CHP qualify for ROC’s and RHI tariffs generating significant revenue enhancement to the Company. The biomass combined heat and power equipment is provided by Uniconfort Srl. of  San Martino di Lupari in Italy and wood drying equipment will be provided by Stela Laxhuber Gmbh. of Massing, Germany.  Both these companies are industry leaders in their field. The CHP plant has been commissioned by the EPC contractor.
