Richard is a consultant to Iona and also sits on its Investment Committee. He brings over 20 years experience in the clean tech sector, investment banking and strategic consulting. Richard was most recently the CEO of Biogen, the UK’s leading food waste AD builder and operator. Prior to Biogen, Richard was the CEO of RecovCo, a specialist aluminium recycler that acquired and operated Alcan’s French recycling business. He has also founded and raised funding for a number of other entrepreneurial businesses. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Strategy for ANZ Investment Bank in Australia, focused on the Australasia and the Emerging Markets. He has also been a strategy consultant on a range of international projects for MMG and AT Kearnery after lecturing in Economics at University College Cork in Ireland. Richard has an MEng in Engineering Economics and Management from Oxford University.
