Mike Dunn will speak at the Chartered Institute of Waste Management

Mike Dunn of Iona Capital, an investor in environmental infrastructure and renewable energy sources will be speaking on Thursday 28th September at the Chartered Institute of Waste Management Scottish Resources (CIWM) Conference. This event is Scotland's biggest and most important event for sustainability, resource and waste management professionals and is run in partnership by CIWM, Zero Waste Scotland and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
Mike will be speaking in conjunction with local government professionals from across Scotland about the challenge of improving services on decreasing budgets, adapting to changing demands and championing innovation.
Mike notes that “Local Authorities across Scotland are having to adapt to austerity, yet continue to strive to improve services. Private equity funders are in a position to help local authorities by enabling the development of innovative solutions and ways of thinking to harness the values of the circular economy and drive resource efficiency.”
