Stuart joined the Iona team as an Investment Director in 2014. He has over 14 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, working as an engineering consultant, technical adviser, project developer and investment manager. He spent a number of years working in the waste PFI / PPP sector, acting as technical adviser to a number of senior debt providers and investors active in the sector. Part of the Investments Team, Stuart’s role is to source and lead the development of projects to financial close, and then sit on the board of the projects until they reach operational stability. Stuart was previously responsible for the inception and development of the anaerobic digestion consultancy business at Fichtner Consulting Engineers where he supported a number of Iona’s projects as a technical adviser. He has a degree in Physics and a Masters in Environmental Innovation from the University of Manchester.
